Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Lineup: A Complete Guide to International Models

While there are several Windows Phone 7 devices jockeying for position in the U.S. smartphone market, there are five that are also available internationally. Here's a breakdown of each.

Our feature "Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 Lineup: A Complete Guide to U.S. Models" covered all the Windows Phone 7 devices available in the United States. But there are a number of models available internationally as well. All these phones will have the same minimum specs as their American brethren, meaning at minimum a 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and 8GB or more storage.

Here are the international contenders:

LG Optimus 7

The big difference between this and the LG Quantum is the lack of a slide-out keyboard.

Samsung Omnia 7

The non-U.S. counterpart to the Focus, with the same great Super AMOLED screen.

The following three phones are from HTC, which, besides being the major maker of U.S. phones, is also the leader internationally:

HTC 7 Mozart

One of the things that sets the Mozart apart is its 8-megapixel camera and super-bright Xenon flash.

HTC 7 Trophy

The Trophy was slated to go on sale March 24; as of press time, there was little information available on it. It looks, and functions, similar to the Mozart -- but with a 5-megapixel camera.

HTC 7 Pro

HTC 7 Trophy
The Pro is the physical keyboard entry in this group. It's significantly heavier than its two siblings, but also has the best battery life.
