Microsoft CRM 4.0 RTM Caps Weeks Of Updates

Microsoft has alpha, beta and RTM software releases stacked up like jets over O'Hare this holiday season.

The latest to hit is apparently Microsoft CRM 4.0 RTM, according to this MSDN blog post.

In the past two weeks, the company sparked up a pre-beta of its ""Volta" developer tool for multi-tier apps. Then came early code for" the
"ADO.NET Entity Framework 3.5.

Next down the chute was "Office Live Workspace beta; followed by the beta of Office 2007 service pack 1.

Dec 13 was a red letter day with a beta "Holiday Surprise" beta of "Hyper-V server and" beta of the long-awaited Vista Service Pack 1.

At this rate it would be easy to devote all your waking hours to testing various pre-alpha, alpha, pre-beta, beta builds of a given product or its associated service packs.

That begs the question: Couldn't this time be better spent? Maybe not.
