Patch for Critical Microsoft Flaw Coming Tuesday

Microsoft is planning to post one patch next week as part of its monthly Patch Tuesday security bulletin release cycle. The patch will fix a flaw in Windows with a maximum severity rating of critical.
The company disclosed the upcoming bulletin through its Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification program on Thursday. The program is designed to help IT departments budget time and resources for security updates. The company sometimes releases more or fewer bulletins than it predicts in the advance notification.
According to the notification, the Windows patch will require a restart. No other information on the flaw was publicly available.
Microsoft also plans to update its Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool on Tuesday but has no plans to release non-security, high-priority updates through its patching infrastructure next week.
