Digipede Technologies released Digipede Network Professional Edition, a grid computing solution built on Microsoft .NET technologies. The solution allows large departments and enterprises to pool the resources of hundreds or thousands of Windows desktops and servers. Pricing starts at $4,000 for system licensing, which includes one Digipede Server and five Digipede Agents. http://www.digipede.net

TimeSpring Software Corp. announced the immediate availability of TimeData for Microsoft Exchange Server, continuous data protection (CDP) software that allows Exchange administrators to rapidly recover lost, corrupt or deleted e-mails. TimeData captures all Exchange data as it changes in real time in a repository, which can be located off-site for disaster recovery purposes. Altiris released new software solutions to extend and enhance Cisco’s Network Admission Control (NAC) framework. Promise Technology Inc. expanded its line of high-speed SATA RAID storage systems with its VTrak M200p/M300p/M500p U320 SCSI host systems for small and medium-sized businesses. The systems, part of the company’s VTrak M-Class SATA 3Gb/s RAID line, are certified for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition for up to eight-node clusters and offer dual host ports and 8-, 12- and 15 hot-swappable drive in a rackmount chassis, supporting 7.5TB (15 drives). http://www.promise.com

RSA Security Inc. announced the November release of RSA Sign-On Manager 4.5, an enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) solution. New features include single sign-on into applications protected by RSA SecurID technology; extended self-service capabilities, including the ability to access Windows desktops, VPNs and wireless apps when disconnected from the network; and a desktop client which integrates RSA SecurID for Windows technology. Advanced Computer Innovations released the latest version of its FileMerlin Conversion Software. FileMerlin 5.0 can convert the document text -- as well as its formatting and layout -- from more than 150 word processor, spreadsheet and data file formats to modern applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, HTML, RTF and XML. The program can also batch convert thousands of files and has more than 2,000 conversion parameters.
