CA Unveils E-Business Platform

At its annual user conference CA-World 2000 in New Orleans, Computer Associates (CA) International Inc. officially released Jasmine ii, its integrated platform for e-business.

Jasmine ii leverages CA's Neugents neural-network technology to enable dynamically personalized Internet exchanges and portals for business-to-business and business-to-consumer commerce.

Jasmine ii supports XML, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs), Java, and other Internet standards. Its e-business intelligence provides personalization through visual portals accessible through wired and wireless devices. Neugents technology also predicts market trends, inventory levels, and other critical business factors. Jasmine's e-business application services include application server, distributed transaction management, messaging, naming, encryption, cache management, and object request broker and object database. Jasmine ii enables more seamless integration between several parties' e-business systems.

In addition to Jasmine ii, CA (www.ca.com) also announced the release of a suite of e-commerce applications built on Jasmine ii. Jasmine ii is the underlying technology supporting Unicenter TND (The Next Dimension), the latest version of CA's Unicenter TNG enterprise management solution, and the BizWorks executive command and control application from CA's interBiz division. CA also offers a range of professional services for custom Jasmine ii projects. - Isaac Slepner
