Next year's Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) will be in Washington, D.C., Microsoft announced on Wednesday.

The conference will take place on July 13-17. Jon Roskill, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Group, made the announcement during the Day 3 keynote address of WPC, taking place this week in Houston.

Washington, D.C. has hosted WPC before, in 2010. Next year will mark the second year in a row that Microsoft has picked a repeat host city; Houston hosted the conference in 2008.

Previous host cities include Toronto, Canada (2012); Los Angeles, Calif. (2011); New Orleans, La. (2009); and Denver, Colo. (2007).

WPC, Microsoft's biggest partner event of the year, regularly attracts over 10,000 attendees. This year's conference drew over 16,000 people from 160 countries, according to Microsoft.
